Welcome to MyAthlete. This Privacy Policy explains how MyAthlete ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in relation to our mobile applications and web platform (collectively, the "Service").
By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Data Controller and Data Processor
This is important for clubs operating under GDPR. For the purpose of our Service, your swimming club (the "Club") is the Data Controller. They own and control the data of their members.
MyAthlete acts as a Data Processor on behalf of the Club. We only process personal data in accordance with the instructions of the Club, as set out in our agreement with them.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Information you and your Club provide:
- User Account Information: When you (as an Admin, Coach, Parent, or Swimmer) register, we collect personal information, such as your name, email address, and password.
- Athlete & Performance Data: Your Club Admin or Coach provides and manages information about athletes, including name, age, squad, historical race results, splits, personal bests (PBs), and season bests (SBs).
- Parent On-Deck (POD) Information: Admins and Parents provide information necessary for managing the POD roster, including parent names, linked athletes, and availability.
Information generated through use of the Service:
- Training Data: Coaches or Admins record training attendance, session volume, and streaks.
- Performance Analysis: The Service generates data such as AI time predictions and target time pacing based on the historical data provided.
- Usage Information: We may collect information about how you use the Service, such as logs for troubleshooting and bug fixing.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. This includes:
- To operate the core features of the app (e.g., displaying race analysis, generating AI predictions, managing POD rosters).
- To allow Admins and Coaches to manage their squads and track performance.
- To allow Parents to manage their POD duties and view their linked athletes' progress.
- To allow Swimmers to track their training and competition data.
- To send service-related notifications (e.g., POD reminders, password resets).
- To monitor and analyze trends, bugs, and usage to improve the Service.
4. How We Share Your Information
Your information is shared in the following limited circumstances:
We do not, and will not, sell your personal information to any third parties.

Within Your Club: Your information is visible
to other members of your Club based on their role.
- Admins can see and manage all data for the club.
- Coaches can see data for the athletes in their assigned squads.
- Parents can see their own POD data and the training/competition data of their linked athletes.
- Swimmers can see their own training/competition data.
- Service Providers: We use third-party service providers (e.g., cloud hosting providers like Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure) to store and process our data. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and only use it for the services we request.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
5. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. We also offer Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to all users to add an extra layer of security to your account.
6. Your Data Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU, you have certain rights over your data. As MyAthlete is a Data Processor, you should direct any requests to exercise these rights to your Club (the Data Controller).
- Right of Access: You can request a copy of the data your club holds about you.
- Right of Rectification: You can ask your Club Admin to correct any inaccurate information.
- Right of Erasure: You can request that your Club delete your data (e.g., when you leave the club).
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is designed for use by swimming clubs, which include members who are minors ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personal information from Children without the consent of their parent, guardian, or the Club (acting on the parent's behalf). The Club is responsible for obtaining this consent and providing us with the child's data.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
